18 Books I Can't Wait to Read in 2018

Is it just me, or as the world goes to pot, are we getting inundated with bloody fantastic books? I can't think of another year when I've been so excited about what's coming up, not just in YA lit, but in all literature. Blessedly, Franzen seems to be staying away from the lit scene, which pleases me to no end. Lionel Shriver has briefly shut it. Now, if only Joyce Carol Oates would ghost us all ... we wouldn't be mad. Promise.

(Also: dear Matt Damon: Just no. I found your cameo in Ragnarok delightful but you really need to go sit in a corner for like five years to think about how you shouldn't open your bloody mouth every bloody time a bloody thought comes into your tiny brain. Okay? Okay.)

Anyway, in no particular order, 18 books I can't wait to read next year. And it was really hard to stick to just 18.
